Aim
UNUBA: Journal of Islamic Education and Technology is an international peer-reviewed journal published to advance scholarly research at the intersection of Islamic education, educational technology, digital innovation, and emerging intelligent technologies. The journal aims to become a leading platform for disseminating high-quality empirical, theoretical, and design-based research that explores how technological advancement transforms teaching, learning, educational leadership, institutional development, and knowledge creation within Islamic educational contexts. Rather than viewing technology solely as a learning tool, the journal promotes a holistic perspective that positions technology as an ecosystem shaping educational values, digital culture, ethical practices, and sustainable educational transformation in response to contemporary and future challenges.
Scope
The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, conceptual papers, and design-based research that contribute to the advancement of Islamic education and educational technology. The scope includes, but is not limited to, innovation in Islamic pedagogy; digital transformation of Islamic schools, madrasahs, universities, and pesantren; educational technology and instructional media development; artificial intelligence for teaching, learning, assessment, and educational management; human–computer interaction and learner experience in digital learning environments; digital literacy, digital citizenship, and ethical technology use from Islamic perspectives; learning analytics and educational data intelligence; immersive technologies, including virtual, augmented, and mixed reality for education; digital leadership and governance in educational institutions; teacher digital competence and professional development; technology-supported inclusive and lifelong learning; open educational resources and open science; as well as interdisciplinary studies examining the relationship between technology, culture, society, and sustainable educational development within local, national, and global Islamic educational contexts.
